District police nabs the gang involved in drugs and theft cases

S.A.S. Nagar :  In context with campaign against the bad elements of the society and drug abuse and following the special checking instructions carried on during this festive season District Police under the guidance of SSP Mr. Satwinder Singh has arrested the gang involved in drugs and theft cases in the District.Disclosing this here today, SP (city) Mr Harvinder Singh virk said that a case in this regard was registered on 17-10-2020, U/S 20-61 – 85 NDPS Act, 379, 411 IPC at Phase-11 police station against Sagar, a resident of vill. Dolatra distt. Muzaffarnagar, U.P. present residing in Sec-52 Chandigarh.On 17-10-2020, while the police party of phase 11 police station performing checking had set up a Naka on the Railway station road Sagar was walking towards the Naka with a handbag in his hand. On seeing the police party he suddenly turned back in an attempt to flee. Seeing this policeman immediately came into action and caught him.
When his bag was checked it contained 200 gms of marijuana (Bhang), 2 deadly daggers, 1 hand metal cutter and 4 mobiles.During investigation of Sagar, he revealed the identity of his accomplice as Kishan alias Tempu resident of Ram Darbar, Phase-2 industrial area Chandigarh. Kishan was later identified and arrested. Police seized one TVS bike, 13 intoxicating injections, one Sony LCD from the possession of Kishan.During further investigation of Sagar and Kishan, the names of two accomplices were revealed. These were Rahul Kumar resident of Sardarpura Colony, Lalru Mandi, distt SAS Nagar and Sukhmaan Singh resident of Sardarpura Colony, Lalru Mandi distt SAS Nagar who were arrested on 19-10-2020. Police recovered 2 cars, 2 Motorcycles, 1 Laptop, 2 LCD’s and a country made 315 bore Pistol along with a live cartridge from their possession.These accused were produced in the court and have been sent to police remand till 23-10-2020.
