Healthcare sector is priority with State Government : Balbir Singh Sidhu

Health Minister lays foundation stone of a dispensary at Sohana

The strengthening of the infrastructure especially with regard to the healthcare sector at the grassroots level occupies priority slot in the scheme of things of the Punjab Government. As the whole world is grappling with the corona virus, a robust healthcare structure would be of utmost importance in tackling the pandemic.” These views were expressed here today by the Health and Family Welfare Minister, Punjab, and MLA Mohali Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of a dispensary at sohana.The minister said that the dispensary would come up in about 6 months time period and would cost Rs. 40 lakh to the State Exchequer. He further divulged that a community centre is also in the pipeline in the area and it would come up at a cost of Rs. 2.50 crore.Coming to more development centric announcements, the minister said that the constituency would be undergo radical transformation into a hub of development under the Urban Environment Improvement Programme (UEIP) under which Rs. 10 crore would be used to give facelift and beautify the urban infrastructure.On the occasion, the minister exhorted the people to strictly follow the health
