Number of international flights will be increased from Chandigarh Airport : Hardeep Singh Puri announced on Arun Sood’s demand

Chandigarh : The Ministry of Aviation is going to take a decision soon to increase the number of international flights from Chandigarh Airport. It will be done soon after examining all the technical specifications and details of all types of runways of Chandigarh Airport. This decision will be implemented soon by negotiating with Air India and other flight operators. Local people will also be coordinated through virtual conferences so that their suggestions will also be taken care of . “The Minister of State for Civil Aviation (Independent Charge) Hardeep Singh Puri said this during a meeting of the Semi Virtual Executive Meeting organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh today. He made this announcement after the party’s state president Arun Sood demanded for increase in international flights.It is worth mentioning that this is the first meeting of the State Executive of the state organized virtually after the start of the tenure of the newly elected state president of the BJP Chandigarh, Arun Sood. In this executive meeting party in charge of Chandigarh affairs and national vice president Prabhat Jha, state president Arun Sood, MP Kirron Kher, National Executive member Satyapal Jain, National Council member Sanjay Tandon, State General Secretary Chandershekhar and Rambir Bhatti, including mayor Rajbala Malik , ,state executive members, District Presidents, Morcha Presidents, Cell Convener specially attended it and the party’s National General Secretary Anil Jain presided over the last closing session of the meeting.At the beginning of the program, the executive was started by lighting the lamp, then State President Arun Sood welcomed the Chief Guest and all the participating members and congratulated all the newly appointed executive members for their new responsibility. Arun Sood gave details of the work done by the party after taking over as the President, especially in detail about the relief work done by BJP Chandigarh during the Corona epidemic. He expressed happiness that on the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda , Chandigarh BJP has also contributed to the pledge that nobody will be left starved during the epidemic time . He informed that through 52 Modi kitchens, food was arranged for poor people and 33 lakh food packets were distributed. 11652 Modi Ration Kit, 5 lakh 50 thousand face covers were distributed. In the Corona epidemic battle, 14000 sanitizer bottles were distributed to the Corona Warrior specially to front line medical staff, police personnel, sweepers and journalists. Arogya Setu app is download by 3.5 lakh people and blood donation was done by 588 workers. During the Corona period, health workers, police personnel, sweepers and government employees were honored for their services rendered during the Corona period by taking signature from 28000 familes in their honor . Migrant laborers were also helped by providing them shoes , slippers, water bottles and food packets when they were on the way to their home . He thanked all the workers of Bharatiya Janata Party for all thi selfless work and appreciated the work done at all levels.
On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Union Minister of State for Aviation (Independent Charge) Hardeep Singh Puri appreciated the work done by the Chandigarh BJP during the corona epidemic and thanked the Chandigarh BJP and also said that the work done by the Chandigarh BJP is not only limited to Chandigarh but it is also discussed and appreciated at the central level and this work is worth writing in golden letters. He said that during the Corona epidemic a lot of schemes were run by the central government under the skilled leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in this time of Corona epidemic , the discovery of new opportunity has encouraged the manufacture of PP kits and manufacture of medicines mainly. By taking prompt and effective steps by Modi government, we have succeeded in controlling the global epidemic in India to some extent. In India, the number of people who died due to this epidemic are much lower than the rest of the countries. If we say in the figures, this death rate is only 1.8%. Under the leadership of Modi government, the central government launched the ‘Vande Bharat’ flight, which acts as life safer for Indian citizens living in other countries and we were able to bring back the Indian citizens. He told that under the Vande Bharat flights , we brought back about 12,00,000 passengers from abroad and a total of 14 lakh passengers were sent back, which is a record in itself .He said that normal flying cannot be started until the corona epidemic challenge is over, but we will not allow any inconvenience to our citizens even if normal flight does not start. He also told that when the domestic flight started on May 25, their number was only 318 and 30,550 passengers were traveling, whereas today 1,040 flights have been started and 1,12,630 passengers are traveling by air. While this figure is expected to reach three lakh by the end of this year.Hardeep Puri also told that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had launched the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana as soon as he took office and promised to provide houses to all the poor people of the country by 2022 till the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Independence Day. A survey has been conducted in this regard in which 1 crore 12 lakh houses have been identified and accordingly approval has been given to build one crore seven lakh houses. In this regard , construction of 70 thousand houses has started and till now about 38 lakh beneficiaries have been given houses. Speaking about Chandigarh under this scheme , he also said that 4000 houses have been built by the Chandigarh Administration and out of which 691 houses have been allotted and the remaining houses will also be allotted soon. He also said as demanded by administration and the citizens that the houses should be built by providing the land at cheaper rates under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is under consideration and whereas the already built 2526 houses which are vacant should be provided under Affordable housing scheme.
Apart from this, he also said that the government is planning to provide houses on rent to migrant .After the address of Hardeep Singh Puri, the State General Secretary thanked him. After this, in the first session, State Secretary Nina Tiwari put forward a proposal of condolence to the people BJP organization, and people of different segments of society who sacrificed their lives to protect the country. In the condolence motion, soldiers who were martyred in the Galwan Valley, Major Anuj Sood, who was martyred by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, senior BJP leader and Bihar Governor Late Lal G Tandon, Chandigarh Social Welfare Board Chairman Smt Santosh Sharma, former Indian hockey Captain Balbir Singh Sr., former Chairman of Mandal No. 22 Vijay Prabhakar, Jagdish Lal Bajaj, Shaadi Lal Sharma, Chairman of Mandal 8, and all the doctors, paramedical staff, policemen, sweepers and paramilitary forces who died all over the country during the Corona epidemic. 2 minute silence was also observed for the peace of the departed soul.In the second session of the meeting, a proposal was made by the party’s state General Secretary Rambir Bhatti on political developments and future plans, which was first approved by Senior Deputy Mayor of Chandigarh Ravi Kant Sharma and then was approved by state executive member Balwinder Sharma. Some suggestions for amending this proposal have also come, which will be discussed and included.In the third session of the executive, the party’s State Office Secretary Deepak Malhotra presented a detailed report about the ebook being prepared by the organization and said that this book has been prepared on the state level and also been prepared by 2 out of five districts and 13 mandals have got their books ready, the rest will be completed soon. It is worth mentioning that this ebook includes the work done by the party during the Corona epidemic.
