With Water Level Receding, All Out Efforts By Fazilka Adminstration For Speedy Restoration Of All Roads Damaged By Flood Fury

Fazilka : With water level receding from border villages, the Fazilka Administration is working on a mission mode to ensure full restoration of link roads and highways at the earliest for convenience of general public.
30-feet road leading to Village Bhaini Ram Singh from Mahatam Nagar Kawanwali road has been restored while work on repair of another adjoining stretch of 150 meter is under progress, the Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal said here.
Sharing more details, the Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal stated that the with assistance from State Mandi Board – which is the nodal department for carrying out repair works of rural roads – the Adminstration’s urgent endeavour is also to mitigate the damage done to roads by flood fury.
I also take opportunity to appeal to all citizens to adhere to administration’s announcements and only use a road once it is cleared by the Officials, Dr. Duggal said while directing officers and officials to continuously inspect and assess ongoing works to ensure timely completion.
Link roads are lifeblood of our rural areas, which commuters use for their travel everyday to fulfil basic needs, the DC said underlining that immediate repair of these roads is the Admisnitration’s priority. Moreover the full thrust of our efforts to repair and restore all damaged roads can attain proper momentum once traveling conditions are normalised.
