Punjab’s First Straw Composting Management Plant Started In Barnala

Barnala : Making an important contribution in stubble management in the state, the first stubble management plant of Punjab has started functioning at village Pandher in Barnala district where compost will be made from the stubble and given to the farmers.
Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mrd Punamdeep Kaur said that a compost plant has been installed at village Pandher Multipurpose Cooperative Society with the help of CII Foundation. She said that this initiative has been taken by the Punjab government to relieve the farmers from the paddy straw problem and save environment.
CII Foundation is running stubble management project in various districts of Punjab since the year 2018. It has started working in district Barnala from the year 2022. The Foundation in association with Goodyear has implemented stubble management projects in 44 villages under which 79 in-situ (in-field) machines have been provided to 28 cooperative societies adjacent to these villages since 2022.
By using these machines, farmers have planted wheat without burning the paddy stubble in their fields.Taking this campaign forward, a compost plant has been set up at village Pandher Multi-Purpose Cooperative for the ex-situ solution of stubble.In this plant, the straw brought by the farmers will be crushed and put in the drum.
The straw will be mixed with decomposers drums and be left for composting for a period of 15 days. In 15 days, the manure will be recovered and returned to the concerned farmer and it can be used as organic fertilizer. She added said that this plant installed at village Pandher can convert 20 to 25 quintals of straw into fertilizer in a day.
ADC (G) Madam Anuprita Johal formally inaugurated the plant. She congratulated the villagers and assured that the administration would provide all possible help to the farmers for straw management.On this occasion, Chief Agriculture Officer Barnala Dr. Jagdish Singh informed farmers about benefits of machines like smart seeder and surface seeder.
Regional Business Head-North from Good Year Shivam Kharbanda also assured the farmers of all possible help. Apart from this, Sunil Kumar Mishra, Head of CII Foundation explained farmers about the working of CII and the steps to be taken for farmers and social development under different projects in the coming time.
On this occasion, Mrs. Sunita Sharma, President of Pandher Society Sardar Maghar Singh, Secretaries of 28 societies, members and about 350 farmers were present.

ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ‘ਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ‘ਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਪਿੰਡ ਪੰਧੇਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਖਾਦ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਪੂਨਮਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੰਧੇਰ ਬਹੁਮੰਤਵੀ ਸਹਿਕਾਰਤਾ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ.ਆਈ.ਆਈ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਕੰਪੋਸਟ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਜਾਤ ਦਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸੀ.ਆਈ.ਆਈ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਲ 2018 ਤੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਪ੍ਰੌਜੈਕਟ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਲ 2022 ਤੋਂ ਸੀ.ਆਈ.ਆਈ. ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਗੁੱਡਯੀਅਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ 44 ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਪ੍ਰੌਜੈਕਟ ਚਲਾਏ, ਜਿਸਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਸਾਲ 2022 ਤੋਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਦੀਆਂ 28 ਸਹਿਕਾਰਤਾ ਸੁਸਾਇਟੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 79 ਇਨਸੀਟੂ (ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ) ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਖੇਤ ਦੀ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਅੱਗ ਲਾਏ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਬਿਜਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ । ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੋਰਦਿਆਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਐਕਸ-ਸੀਟੂ (ਖੇਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਪਰਾਲੀ) ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਇਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਪੰਧੇਰ ਬਹੁਮੰਤਵੀ ਸਹਿਕਾਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਕੰਪੋਸਟ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਪਲਾਂਟ ‘ਚ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲਿਆਈ ਗਈ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਤਰੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਡਰੱਮ ਵਿਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਡਰੱਮ ‘ਚ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਦ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਡਿਕੰਪੋਸਰ ਪਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ 15 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
15 ਦਿਨਾਂ ‘ਚ ਖਾਦ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਆਰਗੈਨਿਕ ਖਾਦ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਿੰਡ ਪੰਧੇਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਇਹ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ‘ਚ 20 ਤੋਂ 25 ਕੁਇੰਟਲ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਦ ‘ਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਜ) ਮੈਡਮ ਅਨੁਪ੍ਰੀਤਾ ਜੌਹਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਰਸਮੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਡਾ.ਜਗਦੀਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਾਰਟ ਸੀਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਫੇਸ ਸੀਡਰ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਮਸ਼ੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਫਾਇਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਗੁੱਡ ਯੀਅਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਏ ਰਿਜਨਲ ਬਿਜ਼ਨੈੱਸ ਹੈਡ-ਨੋਰਥ ਸ਼ਿਵਮ ਖੜਬੰਦਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਡ ਯੀਅਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਮਦਦ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਵੀ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ । ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸੀ.ਆਈ.ਆਈ ਫਾਊਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੁਨੀਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਮਿਸ਼ਰਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੀ.ਆਈ.ਆਈ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਅਲੱਗ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਅਧੀਨ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸੁਨੀਤਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਪੰਧੇਰ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਮੱਘਰ ਸਿੰਘ , 28 ਸੁਸਾਇਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਕੱਤਰ, ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਅਤੇ 350 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਰਹੇ ।
