Joint Health Secretary Reviews Aspirational Block Program In District Moga
Asked To Conduct Social Audit Of Every Government Program And Scheme

Moga : The Joint Secretary of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Mr. Manashvi Kumar visited district Moga today to review the work being done in the Nihal Singh Wala block under the Aspirational Block Program launched by the NITI Aayog. On this occasion, he held a meeting with the concerned officials and also visited Cooperative Society Village Dala, Health Wellness Center Village Bir Rauke and Digital Library Village Ransinh Kalan.
While presiding over the meeting at the District Administrative Complex, Mr Manashvi Kumar said that various governments created public welfare schemes and implemented but their benefits do not reach every eligible beneficiary. Neither can any improvement be made from time to time due to lack of proper feedback. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a social audit of every government program and scheme.
Information and feedback about these programs and schemes should be obtained from people during the social audit. He said that for proper implementation of aspirational block program in block Nihal Singh Wala, it is necessary to work above the statistics. Efforts should be made to transform Moga from ‘aspirational’ to ‘inspirational’ district.
These efforts can only be successful by working as a team. He said that efforts should be made to stop the continuously falling water level in Block Nihal Singh Wala. Provision of organic food to children in Anganwadi Center should be preferred. He appreciated the work being done to eradicate tuberculosis and malnutrition in district Moga. He said that Punjab can show the way to the entire country.
Punjabis should move forward in this direction. There was a time when Punjabis were known all over the world for their good health and hospitality. Today it is necessary that this glory of Punjab should be restored. Deputy Commissioner Mr Kulwant Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr Jagwinderjit Singh Grewal, SDM Mr Harkanwaljit Singh and other officials were also present on this occasion.
