Atal Pension Yojna Outreach Programme Raises Awareness on Government Saturation Drive

S.A.S Nagar : An Atal Pension Yojna outreach programme was hosted at the Auditorium of Shivalik Public School, Phase 6, Mohali, under the auspices of the Pension Fund Regulatory Development Authority (PFRDA), convened by the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) Punjab with LDM Mohali. The primary objective of this program was to enhance awareness about the benefits of Atal Pension Yojana (APY) and its inclusion in the Government of India’s saturation drive.
Ms Geetika Singh, ADC (Rural Development) Mohali while attending as the Chief Guest, urged the bankers to ensure the success of GOI scheme in the whole Punjab state so that its benefit reaches the masses of Punjab. She also felicitated the good performing banks in APY scheme, Union Bank of India and Bank of India. She also honoured LDMs of Pathankot and SBS Nagar district of Punjab.
Chief General Manager, PFRDA, Pravesh Kumar, represented the Government of India, as the Guest of Honour. Key officials including Ms. Rita Juneja, Circle Head PNB Mohali, Akhil Mangal, AGM SLBC Punjab, Sh. M K Bhardwaj, Chief LDM Mohali, and Ms. Anup Kiran Kaur Principal Shivalik Public School Mohali, along with various Bank Heads, DCOs, Branch Heads from different banks, and prospective APY customers, actively participated in the event.
The programme commenced with a welcome address delivered by PNB Circle Head, Ms Rita Juneja, extending her gratitude to the participants for their presence and emphasizing the significance of APY in securing the financial future of citizens. With over 350 enthusiastic participants, the event was marked by informative discussions and engaging presentations aimed at raising awareness about APY.
Attendees had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the benefits and provisions of this government-backed pension scheme. PFRDA officials presented the scheme guidelines in detail and discussed the latest development in the GOI Scheme.
AGM SLBC Punjab, Akhil Mangal, presented vote of thanks to all the attendees and organizers for their dedication and commitment to spreading awareness about APY. Lead District Manager Mohali, M K Bhardwaj, played a vital role as overall incharge of the event and his team at Mohali ensured the success of the event.
