Too Boost Mission Green, Mass Plantation Drive to be taken up in the district, says DC Aashika Jain

S.A.S Nagar : In a unique initiative aimed at boosting the district’s green cover, the SAS Nagar Administration will conduct a massive plantation drive by planting over one lakh saplings in a single day at several locations. This mass drive will be part of the Green Mission, wherein the Municipal Corporation SAS Nagar, Municipal Councils, Rural Development and Panchayats, GMADA and other departments will take up the plantation with the help of NGOs and residents at specific sites.
Divulging the details while reviewing the ongoing plantation drive, the Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain said that we have already been given a task of 1.1 million plantations under the Green Mission and to achieve the target in principle, there is a need to draw an effective strategy to meet the target on the ground. She said that by the next 15 days, the noble task of plantation of 1.1 million saplings would be completed.
Entrusting the task of identification of sites for mass plantation on a single day at multiple locations to the Nodal Officer for Plantation, Damanjit Singh Mann, ADC (UD), she called for the cooperation of all the NGOs and residents to make the drive a grand success. She said that the drive is to be undertaken next week by informing all in advance.
Re-assigning the targets to the departments for meeting the target of 1.1 million plantations, she said that the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats to plant 2.5 lakh, Urban Development (Municipal Councils) 1 lakh, MC Mohali 50,000 while SDM Mohali 20,000 and Kharar and Derabassi 40,000 each.
Apart from that, the Department of Agricultural and Farmers Welfare, GMADA, Education, Water Resources, Food Supply, Public Works Department, Water Supply and Sanitation, Market Committees, District Industry Centre etc were also given time-bound targets of plantation. Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain highlighted that this initiative is a significant step towards enhancing the green cover in the district SAS Nagar. Considering the rapid growth of urbanization, the focus is on maximizing plantation efforts, she said by emphasizing the importance of providing ample green spaces in the district and stressing the need for the proper maintenance of the planted saplings.
The officers who were present in the meeting including, ADC (G) Viraj S Tidke, Divisional Forest Officer Kanwardeep Singh, MC Commissioner Mrs Navjot Kaur, ADC (UD) Damanjit Singh Mann, ADC (RD) Sonam Chaudhary, SDM Mohali Deepankar Garg, SDM Derabassi Himanshu Gupta and officers from all the departments.

ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਿਆਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਲਈ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਮੌਨਸੂਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ 1.1 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਟੀਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਨਦੇਹੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਭਾਅ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਅਗਲੇ ਹਫਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕੋ ਦਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਵੱਖੋ ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਜੰਗਲਾਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ 03 ਲੱਖ, ਪੇਂਡੂ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਤੇ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ 2.5 ਲੱਖ, ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨੂੰ 01 ਲੱਖ, ਐੱਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ. ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ 25 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਤੇ ਐੱਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ. ਖਰੜ ਤੇ ਡੇਰਾਬਸੀ ਨੂੰ 40-40 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਗਮਾਡਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਡਰੇਨਜ਼ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਦੇ ਚੋਆਂ ਤੇ ਦਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਢਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਰੈਜ਼ੀਡੈਂਟ ਵੈਲਫੇਅਰ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਬਤਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਖਾਸਕਰ ਖਰੜ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੀਰਕਪੁਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਬਤਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾਣ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਸ. ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਫਲ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਲਾਪ੍ਰਵਾਹੀ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਕੇਵਲ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਾਉਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਬੂਟਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਵੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਸਾਰ ਲਈ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਬਾਬਤ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਐੱਸ.ਏ.ਐੱਸ ਨਗਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਧ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾ ਸਕੇ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਗੈਰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੰਗਠਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਬ ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਜਾਂ ਜਨਰਲ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੌਦੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਾ ਬਣੇ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ”ਅਸੀਂ ਨਵੇਂ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।” ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਇਕਾਈਆਂ, ਨਿੱਜੀ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮਦਦ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੌਦੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਮੰਗ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰ ਇਸ ਮੈਗਾ ਡਰਾਈਵ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਹਰ ਪੌਦੇ ਦੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜੀਓ-ਟੈਗਿੰਗ ਫੋਟੋ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਮੈਗਾ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੌਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ 12 ਨਰਸਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਗਪਗ 10 ਲੱਖ ਬੂਟੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ‘ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰਤ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਜਨਰਲ) ਵੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਤਿੜਕੇ, ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ) ਦਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ, ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਪੇਂਡੂ ਵਿਕਾਸ) ਸੋਨਮ ਚੌਧਰੀ, ਡਵੀਜ਼ਨਲ ਜੰਗਲਾਤ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਕੰਵਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ. ਦੀਪਾਂਕਰ ਗਰਗ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਮਾਂਸ਼ੂ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਡੇਰਾਬੱਸੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
