Punjab Government’s ‘zero-tolerance policy against corruption’ in the district must be taken forward strictly – DC Aashika Jain

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar : Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain today directed to strictly carry forward the commitment of ‘zero tolerance against corruption’ of Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led State Government in the district. She held a coordination meeting with SSP Vigilance Bureau (Rupnagar Range at Mohali), Daljit Singh Rana and took stock of the progress of the corruption cases in the district and said that if there is any problem in the investigations of any case or any other process, it should be brought to his attention immediately.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke, Assistant Commissioner (G) Harminder Singh Hundal and DSP Vigilance Mohali Unit Navdeep Singh were also present in the meeting. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized making the common citizens more aware of the anti-corruption action line’s WhatsApp number 9501 200 200 and toll-free number 1800-1800-1000 to register complaints related to corruption. She appealed that if they have any complaint related to corruption then they can register it on these numbers.
Terming any delay in granting requisite approvals or providing documentary records a major hindrance in the crusade launched by the Punjab Chief Minister to root out the corruption from the state, she said that any laxity in granting approval and making available documentary records would be treated as support to the corrupt elements and would be dealt with strictly.
She said that the main motive of the Vigilance Bureau is to reign in the corrupt elements and if we delay unnecessarily the documents or approvals related to the arrested corrupt people/any ongoing investigation, then we will also indirectly be called participants in the crime of supporting the corrupt. The Deputy Commissioner assured SSP Daljit Singh Rana that any such delay will not be tolerated by the district administration and it will be ensured that all the clearances and records sought by the vigilance are made available on time.
She asked the Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) to deal with such matters related to vigilance on a priority basis. The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized putting up banners detailing the names and telephone numbers of concerned officers/employees of the Vigilance Bureau at important places like bus stands, railway stations and government institutions to create awareness among the general public about the crusade against corruption so that the general public intimate them of corruption cases.
She also asked the officials to organize seminars and workshops on the prevention of corruption so that the general public can be made aware of the anti-corruption campaign. She said that such coordination meetings would be held at regular intervals so that the Vigilance Bureau would not face any delay in the ongoing investigation.

ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ. ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ‘ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜ਼ੀਰੋ ਸਹਿਣਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ’ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਐਸ ਐਸ ਪੀ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਰੇਂਜ ਐਟ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ, ਦਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਣਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕਰਕੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ’ਚ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ’ਚ ਕੋਈ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਆਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਿਆਨ ’ਚ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ’ਚ ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਜ) ਵਿਰਾਜ ਸ਼ਿਆਮਕਰਨ ਤਿੜਕੇ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਜ) ਹਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੁੰਦਲ ਅਤੇ ਡੀ ਐਸ ਪੀ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਨਵਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਐਂਟੀ ਕੁਰੱਪਸ਼ਨ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਲਾਈਨ ਦੇ ਵਟਸਐਪ ਨੰਬਰ 9501 200 200 ਅਤੇ ਟੋਲ ਫਰੀ ਨੰਬਰ 1800-1800-1000 ਬਾਰੇ ਆਮ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ’ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੰਬਰਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਉੁਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ’ਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਪੜਤਾਲ ਲਈ ਮੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਅਤੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ’ਚ ਫ਼ੜੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੇਸ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੈਂਡੈਂਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ. ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਹਿੱਤੂ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ’ਚ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਦੀ ਉਲਬਧਤਾ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇਰੀ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਜਾਂ ਮਨਜੂਰੀਆਂ ’ਚ ਬੇਲੋੜੀ ਦੇਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਅਸਿੱਧੇ ਰੂਪ ’ਚ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਦੇ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰ ਅਖਵਾਵਾਂਗੇ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਐਸ ਐਸ ਪੀ ਦਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਦੇਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੰਗੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਜ) ਨੂੰ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਨਿਪਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ’ਚ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਲਈ ਮਹਤੱਵਪੂਰਨ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਬੱਸ ਸਟੈਂਡ, ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਦਾਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ/ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਟੈਲੀਫੋਨ ਨੰਬਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੇਰਵੇ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਬੈਨਰ ਲਾਉਣ ’ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਰੋਕਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਸੰਬਧੀ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਯੋਜਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗਾਂ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਅੰਤਰਾਲ ’ਤੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਤਫ਼ਤੀਸ਼ ’ਚ ਕੋਈ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਾ ਬਣੇ।
