Deputy Commissioner holds a meeting with the officials of various departments for resolving the issues of industrialists

S.A.S Nagar : In line with the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government for the development and smooth functioning of the industry, the district administration is also working relentlessly for resolving the issues of the industrialists and investors, said deputy commissioner Aashika Jain today while reviewing the progress of previous meeting.
Holding a meeting with officials of various departments for industrial development and discussing the problems of industrialists at the District Administrative Complex, Mrs Jain said that action is being taken to set up a new industrial park at Tangori in the district.
Besides, she reviewed the power grid project to be built at Chanalon and instructed the officials to expedite the process in this regard. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Labour Department officials to set up a cell for redressal of labour claims and grievances in a time bound manner and to ensure that the claims and grievances are redressed within a four weeks interval.
To redress the problem of traffic jams being faced at Phase 7, 8-A and 8-B, the deputy commissioner ordered to install new signboards indicating no parking and tow-away zones besides tapering the sidewalks to accord more space for parking vehicles. She instructed the officials to keep both the roads free of traffic Chaos. Similarly, requisite repairs of roads should be done and a joint report would be given by Municipal Corporation Mohali and Traffic Police.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials of the Mohali Municipal Corporation to give a detailed report regarding the property tax collected for the industrial area. Besides, she also gave instructions that no problem should be faced regarding power supply to the industries.
She also reviewed vacant industrial plots. The Deputy Commissioner while enquiring about the Derabasi-Barwala road asserted on taking immediate action to improve its condition.
Sh also said that the industrialists should be made more aware about the green stamp paper policy. The Deputy Commissioner gave instructions to remove the hick ups regarding renewal of license of industries.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Viraj S. Tidke, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Ms Geetika Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Damanjit Singh Mann, Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mrs Kiran Sharma and other officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
