The deputy commissioner who is on the move to avail maximum stubble management machinery in the district for the last many days before the onset of paddy harvesting season, said that the Societies have plenty of funds and stubble management machinery and we should go for optimum use of the Machinery with us by keeping it functional all the time.

The capacity of the units is two times more than the production of straw, she added. She said the Punjab Government has increased the financial limit of a Custom Hiring Centre from Rs 5 lakh to 15 lakh where a subsidy of 80 percent is available.
In this way, one (group or society) can easily procure a baler/rake machine on a subsidy of Rs 12 lakh. She was accompanied by SDM Derabassi Himanshu Gupta and DR Cooperative Societies Gurbir Singh Dhillon.
