Moga : Senior Superintendent of Police Moga Mr Harmanbir Singh Gill informed that Moga Police has busted the Inter-district Gang of Robbers, which was involved in various criminal activities including murder case committed in the area of Baghapurana Police station.He said on14th June 2021, two unknown assailants murdered Kewal Singh S/O Sukhdev Singh R/O Rajeana in broad daylight. Case FIR No. 105 dated 14/06/2021 u/s 302, 379, 34 IPC was registered at Baghapurana Police station, Distt. Moga. A massive manhunt operation to nab the accused was launched by Moga Police. A cash reward of 1 lakh was announced by Moga Police for any information on the accused. On 20/06/2021, the team of Inspector Balraj Mohan, SHO City South, Moga received a tip-off from a source that some people involved in criminal activities in and around the vicinity of Moga are hiding near Moga. Following this, the team of Inspector Balraj Mohan conducted the raid. The accused (Pardeep Singh @ Kalu S/O Jasvir Singh R/O Muglu ki Patti, Baghapurana, Moga, Amarjeet Singh @ Kaddu S/O Atma Singh, R/O Samadh Bhai, Distt. Moga, Lakhvir Singh @ Lakha S/O Billu Singh R/O Samadh Bhai, Distt. Moga, Manjinder Singh S/O Bhola Singh R/O Nathuvala Garbi, Distt. Moga) tried to escape from the police but were apprehended.The initial investigation revealed that the Rajeana Murder and many more crimes in various districts of Punjab like Moga, Patiala, Bathinda and Faridkot were committed by the accused. The following major cases and crimes were traced to the accused:Efforts are underway to unearth more details (recoveries etc.) about the various crimes committed and accomplices of the accused. With the arrest of these accused, the people of Moga and nearby areas can breathe a sigh of relief.
