Lal Chand Kataruchak inspects Walipur Kalan village where Buddha Nullah merges with Sutlej

55-percent work of Buddha Dariya Rejuventation project completed

Hambran (Ludhiana) : Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Forest and Wildlife Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak on Tuesday inspected Walipur Kalan village where Buddha Dariya merges with Sutlej river in the district.

Accompanied by MLAs Sarvjit Kaur Manuke, Daljit Singh Grewal, Manvinder Singh Giaspura, Rajinderpal Kaur Chinna, Kataruchak said that clean and safe environment was a top priority of AAP-led Punjab Government and it would complete Buddha Dariya rejuvenation project expeditiously.

He said that nearly 55-percent work of the project had already completed and officials had been asked to discharge their duties with utmost dedication to ensure timely completion of project.

The Cabinet Minister said that a legislative committee headed by MLA Daljit Singh Grewal had already been constituted by Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker in this regard and it would soon start groundwork.

He also directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive report in this regard as this issue would be discussed in detail in next meeting. He also asked MLA Daljit Singh Grewal and other members to study this project in detail and give their suggestions so that this project becomes successful.Prominent among present on the occasion included Senior, AAP leader Dr KNS Kang, Joint CP Dr Narinder Bhagava, ADC Amit Kumar Panchal.
