Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit Pays Obeisance at Gurudwara Paonta Sahib

Paonta Sahib : The Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, Sh. Banwari Lal Purohit, paid a visit to the revered Gurudwara Paonta Sahib today. During his visit, he offered prayers and sought blessings for the welfare and prosperity of the people of Punjab.Sh. Purohit was warmly welcomed by the Gurudwara authorities and the Sikh Sangat.
He participated in the religious rituals with great reverence.“Gurudwara Ponta Sahib holds a special place in the hearts of millions. It is a beacon of spiritual guidance and moral strength,” stated Governor Purohit. “I seek the blessings of the Almighty for the chardikala (ever-rising spirits) and welfare of the people of Punjab. May we continue to live in harmony and work towards the collective prosperity of our State.”
About Gurudwara Paonta Sahib:
Gurudwara Paonta Sahib, located on the banks of the Yamuna River in Himachal Pradesh, is a significant Sikh pilgrimage site. It commemorates the stay of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, and serves as a spiritual and historical landmark. This site was Guru Gobind Singh’s home for over four years and it was here that he wrote the Dasam Granth. Hence, the Gurdwara enjoys a high historic and religious importance among the followers of the Sikh religion world over.

पंजाब के राज्यपाल और यूटी चंडीगढ़ के प्रशासक श्री बनवारी लाल पुरोहित आज पवित्र गुरुद्वारा पौंटा साहिब में नतमस्तक हुए। इस दौरान उन्होंने पंजाब के लोगों के कल्याण और समृद्धि के लिए प्रार्थना की और आशीर्वाद मांगा। गुरुद्वारा अधिकारियों और सिख संगत ने श्री पुरोहित का हार्दिक स्वागत किया। उन्होंने धार्मिक समारोह में बड़ी श्रद्धा के साथ भाग लिया।
राज्यपाल पुरोहित ने कहा, ‘‘गुरुद्वारा पौंटा साहिब लाखों लोगों के दिलों में एक विशेष स्थान रखता है। यह आध्यात्मिक मार्गदर्शन और नैतिक शक्ति का प्रतीक है। मैं पंजाब के लोगों की खुशहाली और कल्याण के लिए ईश्वर से आशीर्वाद मांगता हूं। हम इसी तरह सद्भावनापूर्वक रहना जारी रखें और अपने राज्य की समृद्धि के लिए काम करें’’।
गुरुद्वारा पौंटा साहिब के बारे में:
हिमाचल प्रदेश में यमुना नदी के तट पर स्थित गुरुद्वारा पौंटा साहिब एक महत्वपूर्ण सिख तीर्थ स्थल है। यह वह स्थान है जहां दसवें सिख गुरु, श्री गुरु गोबिंद सिंह जी ठहरे थे और यह एक आध्यात्मिक एवं ऐतिहासिक स्थल है। श्री गुरु गोबिंद सिंह जी यहां चार साल से अधिक समय तक रहे और यहीं पर उन्होंने दसम् ग्रंथ की रचना की थी। इसलिए, इस गुरुद्वारा साहिब का दुनिया भर में सिख धर्म के अनुयायियों के बीच उच्च ऐतिहासिक और धार्मिक महत्व है।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਯੂ.ਟੀ. ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬਨਵਾਰੀ ਲਾਲ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਅੱਜ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਾਉਂਟਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ ਹੋਏ। ਆਪਣੀ ਫੇਰੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲੀ ਲਈ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਲਿਆ।ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਦਾ ਨਿੱਘਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਨੇ ਬੜੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਰਸਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਪੁਰੋਹਿਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਾਉਂਟਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀਕਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਸਰਵ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ (ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ) ਦਾ ਆਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਇੱਛਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਦਭਾਵਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲੀ ਲਈ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ।
ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਾਉਂਟਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ:
ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਾਉਂਟਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਮੁਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਸਿੱਖ ਤੀਰਥ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਹੈ। ਇਥੇ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਠਹਿਰੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਚਾਰ ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਿਤਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਸਮ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੋਕਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
