Whopping Rs 10 Crore Will Be Spent On The Ambitious Project

The Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) at Mall road, Bathinda will get new building with top class facilities, said Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal on Saturday.The Finance minister accompanied by Secretary Education Mr. Krishan Kumar and Deputy Commissioner Bathinda Mr. B. Sri Niwasan while reviewing the status of educational schemes in the district at the school campus announced this building project.The Finance Minister said that as of now a total of 2200 girls are studying in this school and the new building would aim at serving the strength of 5000 students, which will put this school in the list of world class schools of the state adding he said that the whole project would be completed at a cost of Rs. 10 Crore.Divulging more, the FM said under revamped project of the school, it would get one administrative block, 150 classrooms, laboratories, a library and canteen besides an auditorium and multi-storey parking. Capacity of school to be more than doubled, school will also have modern e-learning facilities, he added.

Capacity of school to be more than doubled, school will also have modern e-learning facilities, he added.Mr. Badal further directed the officials to provide furniture for the students besides asking district education officer to prepare a detailed project report in respect with the requirement of other basic infrastructure in the school so that these demands could be fulfilled in a time-bound manner.Pointing out further about the other education projects, the FM said that the government was already upgrading 10 schools of the city with a cost of Rs. 17.12 Crore.He directed the officials to resolve the problem of basic infrastructure at Parsram Nagar, Ghanhaiya Nagar and Chandsar Nagar Basti schools. Mr. Badal also asked the official to undertake the works related to landscaping and sampling during this monsoon season. On the occasion Jaijit Sigh Johal, KK Aggarwal, DEO Sukhbir Singh, Jagroop Singh Gill, Arun Wadhawan, Pawan Mani, Ashoke Pardhan, Mohan Lal Jhumba and Anil Bhola were present.
