Nagar : The area around Baba Banda Singh Bahadar War Memorial, Chapparchiri would be brought under the limits of the Municipal Corporation for the multi-faceted development, which would highlight this historic site at world level and connect the younger generation with its rich heritage.These views were expressed by Health and Family Welfare, Minister, Punjab, Sh. Balbir Singh Sidhu while paying homage to the great Sikh General Baba Banda Singh Bahadar at Baba Banda Singh Bahadar War Memorial, Chapparchiri.On the occasion Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu was also felicitated by Baba Banda Singh Bahadar International Foundation and the awarding ceremony was performed by Mr. Krishan Kumar Bawa, President of the foundation and Chairman, Punjab State in Development Corporation.On this occasion, S. Sidhu said that Baba Banda Singh Bahadar fought various battles with the evil rulers of that time with great courage and uprooted their empire. If India is safe today, it is because of the steps taken by Baba Banda Singh Bahadar at that time.Meanwhile, in response to a query from the media regarding the issue of faulty ventilators , the Health Minister said that these ventilators were supplied by the Central Government and an investigation was underway. He also appealed to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to initatiate an enquiry against the related company and take appropriate action in this regard.Mr. Sidhu said that he had taken up the issue of providing less vaccine to Punjab as compared to the other states with the center and demanded the same quantity for the state as it had been provided to other states.
Balbir Singh Sidhu said that testing and vaccination by the Punjab government is going on at large scale in the state. Early detection of corona helps in easy cure but due to delay the disease becomes more serious and the patient becomes more difficult to handle. So people should immediately consult the doctor whenever they face any kind of health related issue.On this occasion the President of Baba Banda Singh Bahadar International Foundation and Chairman Punjab State in Development Corporation, Mr. Krishan Kumar Bawa said that Sirhind Fateh Diwas is a historic day . On this day Baba Banda Singh Bahadar eliminated the Nawab of Sirhind, Wazid Khan in the battle field of Chapparchiri. After that he established the Sikh empire and made Mukhlsgarh (Lohgarh) its capital. Baba Banda Singh Bahadur gave the ownership of the land to the farmers.Mr. Bawa said that Baba Banda Singh Bahadar is and will always be a source of inspiration for those who walk on the path of truth and justice.On this occasion he demanded that the route which was followed by Baba Banda Singh Bahadar to reach Chapparchiri from Nanded should be named as Baba Banda Singh Bahadar Marg and the International Airport, S.A.S.
