Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik reviews arrangements for State Level Independence Day Function

CM to hoist National Flag on August 15 at Guru Nanak Stadium

Ludhiana : Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik on Wednesday took stock of the arrangements to be made for the state level Independence Day function in local Guru Nanak Stadium where Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will hoist National Flag on August 15.

During a meeting with the civil and police officers at the venue, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary directions to them for ensuring adequate arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations.

She said that all the arrangements regarding sitting, parking of vehicles, deployment of medical and fire fighting teams, security and others must be meticulously planned and followed.

Surabhi Malik said that the nodal officers had been deployed to ensure foolproof arrangements for traffic diversion, parking of vehicles, security, medical and other facilities.

She said that cultural activities would be performed by the students of various schools whereas different continents of Punjab Police, PAP, NCC would be part of March past for which rehearsals were going smoothly for past few days here.

She asked the officials to ensure dignitaries, students and public etc must not face any inconvenience during the entry at the event. She said that that the full dress rehearsal for this mega event would take place on August 13.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration was duty-bound to ensure that people celebrate this national festival with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm.On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioners Amit Kumar Panchal, Rahul Chaba, Anita Darshi, LAC Neeru Katyal Gupta and others were present.
