Ludhiana extends red carpet welcome to Raja Warring

Ludhiana : Tens of thousands of Congress workers today accorded red carpet welcome to the Punjab Congress president and the party’s candidate for Ludhiana parliamentary constituency Amarinder Singh Raja Warring here today.
As he entered the city, he was received by senior party leaders including Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Rakesh Pandey, Capt Sandeep Sandhu, Surdinder Dawer, Sanjay Talwar, Malkeet Singh Dakha, Kuldeep Singh Vaid, Ishwerjot Singh Cheema and others.
There was unprecedented enthusiasm and excitement among the Congress workers who were carrying party flags and banners to welcome Warring for the first time in the city after being announced as the party’s candidate from Ludhiana.
The confident workers said that it was a matter of great privilege to have the PCC president as their party candidate from Ludhiana to fight against Ravneet Bittu, who had betrayed the party by joining the BJP. They said not only had Bittu betrayed the party, but lakhs of party workers also had voted for him and continuously supported him in both the elections in 2014 and 2019.
Speaking on the occasion, Warring said he was touched at the love and affection shown by the party workers on his first day in Ludhiana. “I feel profoundly grateful and overwhelmed with the love you have showered on me”, a visibly jubilant Warring told the workers, adding, “well begun is half done”.
He expressed confidence that the party workers will take this battle to the logical conclusion. The PCC president pointed out, no party in Punjab was as popular and as representative as the Congress party. He pointed out, the Congress neither plays communal politics nor regional politics like the BJP, the Akalis or the Aam Aadmi Party. “We take along everyone and everyone supports us”, he asserted.
In an informal conversation with reporters during the roadshow, he said, the Congress party was completely united in its mission to win all the 13 seats from Punjab. He said Congress did not find any challenge or competition anywhere in Punjab. “On the one hand it is Congress and on the other hand are all others and they can’t match us even if they all come together”, he remarked.

हजारों कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने आज यहां पंजाब कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष और लुधियाना लोकसभा चुनाव में कांग्रेस के उम्मीदवार अमरेंद्र सिंह राजा वड़िंग का गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया। इस मौक़ा पर वरिष्ठ नेताओं में भारत भूषण आशु, राकेश पांडे, कैप्टन संदीप संधू, सुरिंदर डावर, संजय तलवार, कुलदीप सिंह वैद, ईश्वरजोत सिंह चीमा और पार्टी अन्य कार्यकर्ता उपस्थित थे। जिन्होंने अमरेंद्र सिंह राजा वड़िंग को फूल मालाएं पहनाकर फूलों के गुलदस्ते भेंट किये।
लुधियाना से पार्टी के उम्मीदवार के रूप में घोषित होने के बाद शहर में पहली बार अमरेंद्र सिंह राजा वड़िंग का स्वागत करने के लिए कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं में अभूतपूर्व उत्साह देखने को मिला, जो पार्टी के झंडे और बैनर लेकर चल रहे थे। आत्मविश्वास से भरे कार्यकर्ताओं ने कहा कि आत्मविश्वास से भरे कार्यकर्ताओं ने कहा कि पीसीसी अध्यक्ष को लुधियाना से उनकी पार्टी का उम्मीदवार बनाना बहुत सौभाग्य की बात है और वह रवनीत बिट्टू के खिलाफ चुनाव लड़ रहे जिन्होंने भाजपा में शामिल होकर पार्टी को धोखा दिया था।
उन्होंने कहा कि बिट्टू ने न केवल पार्टी को धोखा दिया है, बल्कि उन लाखों पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं को भी धोखा दिया है जिन्होंने उन्हें 2014 और 2019 दोनों चुनावों में समर्थन दिया था। इस मौके अमरेंद्र सिंह राजा वड़िंग ने कहा कि वह लुधियाना में अपने पहले दिन पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं द्वारा दिखाए गए प्यार और स्नेह से अभिभूत हैं। खुश दिख रहे वड़िंग ने कार्यकर्ताओं से कहा, “आपने मुझ पर जो प्यार बरसाया है, उससे मैं बेहद आभारी और अभिभूत महसूस कर रहा हूं।”
उन्होंने कहा, “अच्छी शुरुआत का मतलब आधा काम होता है।” उन्होंने विश्वास जताया कि पार्टी कार्यकर्ता इस लड़ाई को तार्किक निष्कर्ष तक ले जाएंगे। पीसीसी अध्यक्ष ने कहा, पंजाब में कोई भी पार्टी कांग्रेस पार्टी जितनी लोकप्रिय नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा, कांग्रेस न तो सांप्रदायिक राजनीति करती है और न ही भाजपा, अकाली या आम आदमी पार्टी की तरह क्षेत्रीय राजनीति करती है।
उन्होंने कहा, “हम सभी को साथ लेकर चलते हैं और हर कोई हमारा समर्थन करता है।”रोड शो के दौरान पत्रकारों से अनौपचारिक बातचीत में उन्होंने कहा, कांग्रेस पार्टी पंजाब की सभी 13 सीटें जीतने के अपने मिशन में पूरी तरह से एकजुट है। उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस को पंजाब में कहीं भी कोई चुनौती या प्रतिस्पर्धा नहीं मिली।

ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਐਲਾਨੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਲਈ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਝੰਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਨਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਮਿਸਾਲ ਜੋਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਧੋਖਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਚੋਣ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਮਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਨੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਧੋਖਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਧੋਖਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ 2014 ਅਤੇ 2019 ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਾਥ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿਖਾਏ ਗਏ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਨੇਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਰ੍ਹਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੈ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਹਿਸਾਨਮੰਦ ਹਾਂ”।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ “ਚੰਗੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਦਾ ਮਤਲੱਬ ਅੱਧੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਜਿੱਤਣਾ ਹੈ। ”ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਰਕਰ ਇਸ ਲੜਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਤੱਕ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।ਪੀਪੀਸੀਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ‘ਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਹਰਮਨ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰਕੂ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਭਾਜਪਾ, ਅਕਾਲੀ ਜਾਂ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ “ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਰੋਡ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੈਰ ਰਸਮੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ 13 ਸੀਟਾਂ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇੱਕਜੁੱਟ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਜਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੀਖਿਆ। ਵੜਿੰਗ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂ ਸਕਦੇ।
