Civil Hospital Always Equips With A Backup Of 300 Oxygen Cylinders
Hoshiarpur : Reiterating Punjab Government’s commitment for best healthcare services to Corona patients, Industry and Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora while visiting Civil Hospital on Sunday said that there was no dearth of oxygen, Remdesivir injections and medicines.Reviewing the arrangements in the Covid ward of the Civil Hospital, Sunder Sham Arora stated that Civil Hospital always have a backup of 300 oxygen cylinder to tackle any sort of exigency amid rising number of infections. Besides oxygen, necessary medicines, injections and other healthcare facilities have already been ensured so that no Corona patient will suffer in any circumstances. As many as 94 patients including five level-II were undergoing treatment in COVID ward having capacity of 100 beds, said the Minister the ward was equipped with modern health facility and infrastructure.Arora further mentioned that apart from Civil Hospital, special beds for Covid patients had been arranged in private hospitals too so that these could be utilised to tackle any kind of exigency. Pointing out that Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh is committed to provide necessary health services to Covid patients, Sunder Sham Arora said that the treatment and medicines are being provided free of cost to the patients in Covid ward. He also urged the residents to strictly adhere to guidelines of Punjab Government and Health departments including wearing masks properly, avoiding crowded places, maintaining social distancing and following hand hygiene. Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Mayor Surinder Kumar and Dr Jaswinder Singh etc.
