Hoshiarpur : A year and 9-month-old girl from the town of Bhangala in Mukerian Sub-Division Aarohi Mahajan brought laurels not only for her native town and district but also for the Punjab by making it to ‘India Book of Records’ with her extraordinary feat to recites names of fruits, vegetables, body parts, music instruments etc.In a rare feat, Aarohi Mahajan got registered the name in India Book of Records at the age of one year and seven months. She was awarded with an appreciation letter, a medal, a badge, a pen and a unique card by the coveted organisation. Congratulating the family on the achievement, Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait said that it was an impressive start of Aarohi at the beginning to get acclaim in the India Book of Records at such a tender age.
She said that under the slogan of the organization ‘extraordinary feat, extraordinary people’ Aarohi had made her parents, district and state proud with unique qualities. She congratulated Aarohi’s father Vivek Mahajan, mother Meenakshi Mahajan and Grandmother Radha Gupta for the achievement and wished the little girl a great success in the future as well.Father of Aarohi, who is doctorate in Music from Delhi University & singer Vivek Mahajan said that he has been in music profession for a long time and his daughter has also developed a special passion for music. The family gave a few months training to Aarohi to make it to India Book of Records but she couldn’t do in her two previous attempts but this time in her third efforts she bagged the appreciation, he added.Vivek said that now after registration on May 22, her appreciation was confirmed on June 2 and they received the letter of appreciation etc. on June 22. The family will further encourage her for more such rare feats in future, he added.
