Sanjeev Arora gives 10 lac assistance for promotion of Basketball Sports

Ludhiana : In an impressive presiding over function at Semi Final matches of 73rd Senior Nationals Championships at Ludhiana by Sanjeev Arora MP ( Rajya Sabha), he gave an assistance of Ten Lacs for promotion of Basketball sports in Punjab by Punjab Basketball Association.
On this occasion, he also released an informative booklet ‘Yes to Sports–Basketball in Every Home prepared by District Basketball Association which gives details of 3×3 Basketball format along with a call to adopt sports for holisticMP development.
He joined a signature campaign against drug abuse too. MP who spent almost 2 hours watching matches was excited to see the coordination of the PBA and BFI organizers for the tournament being conducted under the aggies of Basketball Federation of India. He promised full help in future too for the basketball sports.
Speaking on the occasion he said that the Punjab Government is committed to sports promotion in the State and making many leaps in this direction. MP Arora also appreciated efforts of SPS Hospitals who also assisted significantly for the tournament.
SPS Director Jai Singh Sandhu, Satnam Singh and Dr Sunil Katyal Dy Director Medical Services were honored by him. Also honored by by the MP was Pradyot Voleti, Director Dribble Academy Foundation Present on the occasion were Teja Singh Dhaliwal Gen Sec PBA, Sanjeev Dhanda, Satish Malhotra (ADCP-Retd), Sumesh Chaddha, Col J S Gill and other officials of District Basketball Association Brij Bhushan Goyal, Sukhbir Dhaliwal, Veerpal Dhillon and many others. Booklet released was compiled by Goyal of DBA. Yurinder Singh Hayer IPS Retd. Sr Vice President PBA in his message said that MP Arora’s coming is a big boost for the game.
Later MP Arora was also presented a book ‘Rejuvenating Punjab’ written by expert economists and scientists attached with Sri Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Ludhiana in which he showed keen interest. Teja Singh Dhaliwal thanked MP Sanjeev Arora for his sincere interest in the tournament and for the financial support.
