MP Arora announces Rs.10 lakh grant for upgradation of Adarsh Public School

Ludhiana : Presiding over as chief guest at annual prize distribution function held at Adarsh Public School, Hambran Road, Ludhiana on Wednesday evening, Sanjeev Arora, MP (Rajya Sabha) has announced a grant of Rs.10 lacs as a contribution for upgradation of the school from Class-10 to Class-12.
His wife Sandhya Arora was Guest of Honour at the function.In his address, Arora also assured to extend support further to the school, if required in the future. He also announced a matching grant for uniforms and books out of his pocket equal to cash prizes given to the students during the function.
He lauded the school management’s Chairman Col Dr D B Sharma, Vice Chairman Sudhir Sehgal and General Secretary Yashpal Bangia and the principal Amita Bansal for successfully and efficiently running the school.
He said he has observed that the school is not only imparting education to the students but creating good citizens. He said he has observed that there is a good educational talent in the school, which was established way back in the year 2008.
Further, Arora said he has learnt that many students have attained 100 per cent marks and attendance. There also exists state of the art class rooms, computer laboratory, digital screens and other infrastructure.
This has been made possible only because of the excellent management and school staff and also with the support of Ludhiana’s prominent personalities such as Ruhi Brar, Radhika and Vijay.Arora lauded the school management’s Chairman Col (Retd) Dr D B Sharma and termed him as a big and noted educationist.
He said Col (Retd) Dr D B Sharma deserved a big clap for his services rendered in the field of education over the decades.In his address, Col (Retd) Dr D B Sharma highly appreciated the work being done by Arora in various fields, including health and social service.
He said Arora is a key asset for the city.Arora distributed prizes and certificates to the students and congratulated the achievers in various fields.A colorful cultural programme was presented by the students.
Both Sanjeev Arora and his wife Sandhya Arora were honoured with mementoes and shawls on the occasion.
