Aam Aadmi Party’s challenge to BJP -Jakhar should debate on the issues of education, health, employment and law and order

Chandigarh : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched a scathing attack on BJP leaders Manpreet Singh Badal and their Punjab President Sunil Jakhar.Addressing a press conference from the party office in Chandigarh, AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that the case against Manpreet Badal was registered on a complaint filed by Saroop Chand Singla, former MLA Bathinda city who is a BJP leader.
Manpreet Singh Badal used his political influence to purchase two plots measuring 1560 square yards of land in Model Town phase-1 Bathinda causing a financial loss of 65 lakhs of rupees to the state exchequer.
Kang quipped, of course Punjab’s khazana was always ‘khali’ during Manpreet Badal’s tenure, who was finance minister of Punjab for 9 years, because he was always busy filling his personal coffers at the expense of the public money.
Kang said that people like Badal and Jakhar who have been ruling Punjab generation after generation were always one but now they’re openly together and in the same party. Kang challenged Jakhar and said that as the action is being taken based on the complaint of one of their own, will Sunil Jakhar now expel Manpreet Badal from the BJP?
He said that the Mann government deals with the same hand with all the corrupt people making no exceptions. Kang further added that the comparison of Sunil Jakhar between the BJP government and the AAP government is ridiculous.
If Sunil Jakhar wants a debate on the real issues he should debate on the matters of education, health, ex-gratia to the families of martyrs, jobs, employment generation and law and order of the state. Kang claimed that BJP ruled states have the worst law and order situation, women are not safe in those states, minorities are not safe in those states.
BJP does the politics of hatred which will never be tolerated in Punjab hence the people of Punjab will never accept BJP leaders. Kang reminded Jakhar that the people like Vijay Malya and Neerav Modi looted money from our country and ran away on BJP’s watch.
The BJP government right off 13,000 crores of debt of capitalists but never fulfilled the promises they made to farmers and common people. 750 farmers died during farmers’ agitation while Modi government was selling the country to their capitalist friends.
He said that the central government is not releasing Punjab’s money of GST, National Health Mission fund and Rural Development funds, if Sunil Jakhar has any concern for the state he should ask the central government to release these funds.
Kang said that the BJP government has spent 8,000 crore rupees of public money on advertisements in the last ten years whereas the Mann government of Punjab is spending Public money to facilitate the people of Punjab.
He said that Jakhar should raise the issue with the BJP government at the centre that why even after floods no rebate was given to Punjab, no special package was given to Punjab to help the state to cover crop losses.
