Aam Aadmi Party criticizes Akali Dal for sharing an edited video of Punjabi singer Kanwar Grewal

Chandigarh : The Aam Aadmi Party launched an attack against Akali Dal and the Badal family for sharing an edited video of famous Punjabi singer Kanwar Grewal (which contains complaints against Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann). Akali Dal leader Bunty Romana shared this fake video first and the AAP has strongly condemned this act. Addressing the media during a press conference at the party headquarters on Thursday, AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that this shows the low level politics of Akali Dal Badal.
He said that no matter how many false videos the Akali Dal leaders spread, the people of Punjab are never going to believe the Badal family again. Kang said that the Akali Dal leaders and the Badal family feel that by editing and distorting the video of a singer, the image of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann can be tarnished and their politics will shine, but it is not going to happen. He played Kanwar Grewal’s video in front of the media in which the singer is saying that his video has been distorted.
Grewal also condemned this in his video and said that this has been done as part of a conspiracy. Mentioning former Akali leaders, Kang said that leaders of Akali Dal like chief Giani Kartar Singh, Baba Kharag Singh, Surmukh Singh Chaubhal, Jagdev Singh Talwandi and Master Tara Singh fought for the independence of the country and after the country became independent, Akali leaders fought for strengthening the federal system.
These people fought for the keys of Nankana Sahib and honoured the name of Punjab with their righteous struggles. Whereas today’s Akali Dal, which is in the hands of the Badal family, does the politics of false and edited videos and Chhole Kulcha. Kang said that the Badal family has tainted the struggle of the great leaders of Akali Dal and has tarnished the name of Punjab.
He said that no matter how low the Badal family stoops and how many false videos they spread, the people of Punjab no longer like or believe them. Kang said that this time the Akali Dal has got two seats in the Assembly but the kind of politics they are doing, they will be completely wiped out next time.
