Dhaliwal inaugurates two pontoon bridges in border belt

Government stands with the farmers of the country - Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal

Ajnala : Cabinet Minister of Punjab S. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal today inaugurated two pontoon bridges on the Ravi River in the border region which will help the farmers and BSF in farming and protecting the country respectively across the Ravi River.
Talking to the press on the occasion of inaugurating the pontoon bridges at village Darya Musa and Kot Rajada today, he said that at the time of the country’s independence, our large area was left across the Ravi River, where our farmers have to go constantly.
Our previous governments have not even paid attention to this important issue, but the government of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has constructed two pontoon bridges at a cost of around five crore rupees in his first year in office.
With this, farmers will be able to carry their tractors, trolleys, combines and other agricultural implement across the river easily. Apart from this, BSF personnel will be able to pass their jeeps and other vehicles to protect the border of the country.
He said that I wanted to build a permanent bridge here and for that I went to Delhi to negotiate, but they refused to build a permanent structure due to security reasons. He said that now for the strengthening of the bridges, sperms will also be made near them, which will cost two to three crore rupees.
