Says BJP leaders have humiliated the verdict of Hoshiarpur residents by stooping too low

Hoshiarpur : Slamming the BJP led Union government for ignoring the elected representatives of people during function to flag off train from Hoshiarpur, the Punjab Cabinet Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa said that BJP has humiliated mandate of residents of Hoshiarpur.
In a statement issued here on Monday, the Minister said that the function to flag off Hoshiarpur – Delhi – Agra express was merely show of BJP leaders who have been rejected by the people. He said that people of Hoshiarpur are peeved over the blatant ignorance of their elected representative who was not even invited for the function.
Jimpa described it as fraud with the people of Hoshiarpur as the norms of protocol were completely ignored in the function. Jimpa said that after being elected as MLA he is discharging services as Minister of the state but then also the officers of Railways didn’t bother to extend invitation to him.
Jimpa said that he has made strenuous efforts for extending the train from Delhi to Mathura-Agra so as to facilitate the masses to pay obeisance at Mathura (Vrindavan). He said that he had written letter to Railway Minister on October 21, 2022 after which the Union Minister has apprised him on November 30, 2022 that the department is exploring feasibility in this regard.
The Minister said that he is personally thankful to the Railway Minister for starting this facility. However, he said that local BJP leadership has given political colour to the function which is not at all tolerable. He said that in larger interests of people invitation must have been extended to all for this mega event.
Jimpa said that he will write a letter to Union Railway Minister and inform him about the entire incident. He also advised the BJP leaders to refrain from stooping too low for narrow political gains.
He said that BJP leaders can keep the elected representatives of people away from such functions but they can’t oust them from the hearts of masses.
