Anmol Gagan Mann hails CM’s decision to shut down Zira liquor factory

AAP Government will restore the pristine glory of sports- Anmol Gagan Maan

Samrala (Ludhiana) : Punjab Tourism & Cultural Affairs, Investment Promotion Minister Anmol Gagan Maan on Tuesday hailed the decision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to shut down the liquor factory at Zira in the larger interest of people.

Presiding over annual Kabbadi Tournament in Utalan village near Samrala, Maan said that people of Punjab had given historic mandate to the AAP and every decision is being taken for the welfare of the state and people.

She said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was making concrete efforts to take Punjab to new heights of development and prosperity.Meanwhile addressing the gathering, the Minister said that the Punjab Government was committed to restoring the pristine glory of sports in the state.

Mann said that the Punjab government would provide every kind of possible assistance to organizing committees of sports tournaments so that more champions can be produced in the coming years. She said that Punjabi youth had a lot of talent but they need a platform.

The Cabinet Minister said that Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan was organized by the Punjab government last year so that hidden talent of Punjabi youth could be brought out and they could be encouraged to take up sports.

She said that these games received overwhelming response as nearly 3 lakh players had participated in these games.The Minister said that every step would be taken for ensuring complete makeover of the sports’ facilities including sports infrastructure, grounds and equipment in the Punjab.

She also announced to give Rs 1.5 lakh winning team of the tournament.Prominent among the present on the occasion included Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik, SSP Harish Om Parkash Dayama, ADC Amarjeet Bains and others.
