10k Jobs On Platter As Pan Punjab Placement Drive On Wednesday

Chandigarh : In order to fulfil the commitment of Chief Minister S Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government to generate maximum employment opportunities for the youth of state, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training department is all set to organise a Pan Punjab placement drive on Wednesday (June 7) covering across the districts.
Divulging details about the drive, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr Aman Arora said that over 10,000 jobs will be offered to the job seekers, with the salary range varying from Rs.8,000 to Rs.60,000. This drive will simultaneously be held in all the districts, he added.
Vardhman, Sportking, Flipkart, Airtel and Reliance are among 425 total prominent employers participating in this placement drive. The Job Seekers who will be facilitated through the placement drive include Postgraduates, Graduates (Tech./Non-tech.), ITI, diploma holders, 12th pass, matric passouts, and even the youth who have not received any formal education qualification.
The Employment Department has made adequate arrangements to facilitate Job Seekers to participate in this placement drive. Mr Aman Arora said that interested candidates can either register themselves by logging in job portal (http://www.pgrkam.com) or through District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, or they can directly visit the placement drive venue. The details of the venues are also available on the Job Portal of the department, he said.
Director Employment Generation Ms Deepti Uppal informed that the Employment Generation department through this exercise will try to provide a platform for the employers as well as prospective employees to come and find suitable avenues/Candidates. It is expected that at least 10,000 Job Seekers will find employment opportunities through this Placement drive.
