T Benith reviews working of fard kendras, SDM Office

Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr T Benith visited fard kendra and sub dicisonal magistrate (SDM) office at Tapa tehsil to review the ongoing works of revenue department. He visited various sections of the fard Kendra and interacted with the visitors, who had come to take copies of their land mutations.

He enquired about the serial wise tokens issued to visitors, proper facility for sitting and drinking water and about the conduct of staff at the Kendra. People expressed satisfaction over the works being done. Deputy Commissioner directed that the work of people be done on priority basis.

Deputy Commissioner visited village Mehta where he interacted with the villagers at Gurudwara Sahib where the digitally produced map of village has been put on public display under Mera Ghar, Mere Naam scheme. The scheme bestows ownership rights to people living within lal dora, which they did not have earlier. 

He directed that it was responsibility of revenue department and panchayat to ensure all the villagers are apprised of the scheme and draw benefit from it. He visited the sub Tehsil office at Bhadaur where he checked the records of revenue department. 

He directed that all records should be maintained as per the directions of govenrment. He also oversaw the ongoing construction work of bridge going on the Bhadaur – Bajakhana road.

District Revenue Officer Mr Gurjinder Singh, SDM Tapa Mrs Simarpreet Kaur, IAS (UT) Mr Shivansh Rathee, Tehsildar Tapa Onkar Singh and others were also present.
