Demolition Of Illegally Acquired Property Of Drug Smuggler In Mohkampura Area
In a continued drive against drug smuggling under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sh. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the District Administration Amritsar today demolished the illegally constructed property of a known drug smuggler in Mokampura under the jurisdiction of Police Station Mokampura.
The said individual, Rohit Singh alias Kalu S/o Jaspal Singh, resident of Pyara Singh Sarpanch Chowk, Mohkampura, Amritsar has been actively involved in drug trafficking activities. Multiple cases have been registered against him under the NDPS Act.

Today, the house located at H.No. 328, Pyara Singh di Haveli, Mohkampura, belonging to the said accused, was demolished by the Municipal Corporation Amritsar as part of the ongoing crackdown on illegally acquired properties of drug traffickers. Commissionerate Police Amritsar has made major achievements under the NDPS Act this year, registering 1138 cases and arresting 2133 persons.
Recoveries include 250.521 kg heroin, 29.652 kg opium, 325.577 kg narcotic powder, and other drugs, along with ₹2.88 crore drug money and 96 vehicles used in trafficking. These consistent actions show the strong commitment of Amritsar Police to curb drug smuggling and safeguard the youth from its impact.
