Day-Care Cancer Centre to Open Soon in Hansi: Arti Singh Rao
Haryana Health Minister, Ms. Arti Singh Rao said that a Day-Care Cancer Centre will soon be started in the newly created district of Hansi as well. Earlier, such centres have already been started in 22 districts.
The Health Minister was responding to a question raised by a member during the ongoing Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today. She said that Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini had inaugurated Day-Care Cancer Centres (DCCC) in all district civil hospitals of the state on February 11, 2026, bringing cancer care closer to patients’ homes.
Dedicated Cancer OPDs, chemotherapy wards and Palliative Care OPDs have been made operational in Hub and spoke model in 22 districts including Fatehabad (linked with PGIMS Rohtak as Hub). In year 2025, DCCCs in district Faridabad, Panchkula, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar have already provided chemotherapy services to 2,672 patients.
The Health Minister further said that Atal Cancer Care Centre (ACCC), Ambala Cantt, Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), PGIMS Rohtak, and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Jhajjar are providing comprehensive cancer treatment in the state. Medical colleges in Hisar, Sonipat, Nuh and Karnal districts are also treating cancer patients.
