GVK EMRI sets up a 50 bedded multi-specialty hospital at its 108 GVK EMRI Headquarters

Hyderabad : GVK EMRI sets up a 50 bedded multi-specialty hospital at its 108 GVK EMRI Headquarters near Kompally in the city outskirts. This facility becomes functional from today onwards. Presently it will cater exclusively to COVID-19, GVK EMRI disclosed in a press note issued in the city today.As it is well known, the GVK EMRI is a not-for-profit organization and it is the largest ambulatory care provider in the world, providing emergency medical services coverage to 800 million people across India. GVK EMRI model of pre-hospital care services was replicated in Sri Lanka. It saved more than 84 lakh lives and 22000 emergencies are served every day. It has now set up a 50 bedded multi-specialty hospital.The Treatment (COVID only as of now) will be provided free of charge, the news release added. We have taken this initiative to supplement the efforts of the Government of Telangana to serve the poor, vulnerable sections of society. To begin with, the newly functional GVK EMRI Hospital currently has a capacity of 30 Oxygen beds, 10 non- oxygen beds and 10 ICU beds. There is also a provision of single room accommodation. Qualified Doctors and Nurses were trained at NIMS for clinical case management of COVID 19 cases. They will be manning the hospital.
Patient care assistants, housekeeping and security staff are also trained in infection prevention and control.The Medical specialists from the University of Michigan will provide medical guidance for case management of the patients admitted at GVK EMRI hospital.It has Covid Lab and Pharmacology Support. It also has a 24×7 Ambulance Service. It provides 3 meals.To get admission, patients need to produce an RT-PCR Test Positive Report. The admission will be subject to Clinical Assessment Criteria. Single room accommodation–AC and Non AC Rooms is available at Nominal Rates.COVID 19 suspects, COVID 19 patients and post COVID patients are expected to benefit from this hospital with a well trained and equipped centre. Critical case specialists on call are also available along with a dedicated ambulance for transfer in case of high-end care.GVK EMRI is also planning to organize vaccination against COVID 19 soon.
