Weekly Block Diwas: DDC Rajouri listens to public issues at Lam -Qila Darhal

Rajouri : Deepening further the outreach initiative of the District Administration, District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today chaired a public grievances redressal camp here at border area Lam of block Qila Darhal under the weekly block diwas programme.

SSP, Mohammad Aslam; DDC Member Nowshera, Manohar Singh; BDC Qila Darhal, Khalid Firdos, ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt and other District and sectoral officers attended the event.

A large number of people and their representatives projected scores of issues and demands of their respective areas. They demanded macadamization of roads, better health services, upgradation of schools, erection of BSNL tower, scarcity of water etc.

The Officers of line departments educated the people about the schemes being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same. They also responded to the queries raised by the public during the event.The DDC gave a patient hearing to all the issues and demands projected by the locals and assured quality and timely redressal of all their genuine concerns.

Responding to the issue of water shortage, he said that all households of the district would be provided tapped water connection under the Jal Jeevan Mission. He also issued on the spot directions to the concerned officers to take cognizance of the issues pertaining to their departments.

Addressing the people, the DDC said that the District Administration was striving hard to take the district to new heights of development by utilizing its potential in different sectors. He said that concrete measures were being taken to make Government services more transparent and easily accessible to the public.

He also urged the PRIs to play a crucial role in the development of their areas.“You should ensure that all the developmental works being executed in your respective are completed within the set times while adhering to quality parameters” he advised them.

While highlighting varied online services offered by different departments, he said the move aims to ease the public delivery system and bring transparency in the working of administration.
