Weekly Block Diwas: DC Udhampur holds public outreach programme at Chanunta

Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today visited Block Chanunta where she attended a weekly block diwas meeting and listened to the public issues. District Development Council member, Jattu Ram, District and sectoral officers besides Sarpanches, Panches and a large number of general public of adjoining Panchayats attended the public outreach programme and projected several demands and problems being faced by them.

They sought maintenance of PMGSY & PWD roads, construction of new BDO office building at Panjgrain, installation of electric poles in different wards, adequate medical staff, Up-gradation of High School Panjgrain to Higher Secondary School, augmentation of drinking water supply, Opening of bank branch, construction of Panchayat Ghar at Dalsar, development of playground at Panchayat Badhole, construction of health Sub centre, Electrification of un-electrified areas, provision of Ambulance, Opening of roof filtration plant etc.Responding to the demands, the DC addressed many grievances on the spot by giving directions to officers of concerned departments. The rest of the demands were recommended to the concerned quarters for addressing the same as per budgetary provisions.
