VC DDC Kupwara holds joint meeting of PRIs, officers

Kupwara : Vice Chairman, District Development Council (DDC), Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir today chaired a joint meeting of PRIs of Sogam and Wavoora blocks and Officers to address the issues relating to developmental works.Addressing the meeting, the Vice Chairman urged upon the PRIs to work in coordination with field functionaries of various departments for overall development of the district. He asked the Sarpanchs and Panchs to submit their contact details with his office which will be further shared with all departments in the district for better coordination on ground.

He stressed upon the officers and PRIs for greater coordination for overall development of Kupwara district.The Vice Chairman assured the PRIs that a separate seminar shall be held for them for proper awareness about various government schemes.Earlier, Sarpanchs and Panchs from various Panchayat halqas of Sogam and Wavoora blocks discussed their developmental issues with the officers. BDC Chairperson Sogam, Nageena Begum; AC Panchayats, Chief Education Officer, CAO, DSHO, BDO Sogam, besides, Sarpanchs, Panchs and representatives from various departments attended the meeting.
