Status of self employment generation activities reviewed in Rajouri

DC urges unemployed educated youth to avail benefits of self employment schemes

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri Rajesh K Shavan today convened a meeting of the concerned officers to review the employment generation status under various self employment generation schemes in the districtAmong the others present were ADDC, Pawan Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; ACP, Abdul Rashid; CAO, Shabana Azmin; PO IWMP, Parveen Akhter; DSCO, Rashid Manhas; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; LDM, Jyoti Prakash Sharma; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; REW, Noor Ali besides other concerned officers.Detailed deliberations on functioning of SHGs, employment generation schemes and other activities for engaging the unemployed youth of the district under self employment activities was held in the meeting.During the meeting, the DDC said, “District Administration is working with a vision for engaging and empowering the youth of the district by creating sustainable livelihood avenues for them and persistent efforts are being made in this connection”.The Government is focusing on creating a robust ecosystem for growth and empowerment of entrepreneurs besides paving a strong foundation to nurture the entrepreneurship abilities and skills of the youth”, said the Deputy Commissioner.

The District Development Commissioner also called upon all the stakeholders to complement the Government’s efforts for its effective implementation of all the welfare schemes and programmes on ground for larger public interest.He said that self- employment is the basic element which has a huge potential to boost the economy of an area.He also called upon the educated unemployed youth of the district to come forward to take advantage of the schemes meant for self employment.About the status of registration for women water conservation Club, it was informed that more than fifty seven thousand women have been registered with the club. The DDC asked the CAO to ensure that each of the already registered women shall get two more ladies registered with the club. All the data regarding the women water conservation club would be maintained by the District Jal Shakti Kendra.Reviewing the functioning of SHGs, the concerned officer from NRLM was directed to submit the list of eight women for imparting them training in cutting and tailoring. He was also asked to submit the details of all the women registered with the SHGs in the district. DDC also directed for making all the SGHs functional at the earliest.Lead District Manager was directed to be liberal in sanctioning of loans to the SGHs involved in dairy and dairy products marketing.ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri was directed to make the Jal Shakti Kendra functional with all required facilities within one day.
