Chairperson DDC Udhampur Juhi Manhas Pathania tours Majalta area; launches road construction work

Udhampur : District Development Council Chairperson Udhampur, Lal Chand today conducted an extensive tour of Block Majalta and kick started a number of development works in the area.

The Chairperson was accompanied by Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur Juhi Manhas Pathania; District Development Councilor Majalta, Amit Sharma and Chairperson BDC Majalta, Dina Nath.

The Chairperson DDC Udhampur laid the foundation stone of the construction of 1.5 KM road from Manwal Tajoor Road to Thill Length under NABARD in presence of Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur, The proposed 1.5 KM road is being constructed an estimated cost of Rs. 2.45 crore.

Chairperson BDC Majalta, thanked the District Development Council Udhampur and Chairperson DDC Udhampur in particular for providing support, cooperation and guidance to initiate and carry forward the developmental activities in the Block Majalta.

DDC Majalata, Amit Sharma also thanked Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh and Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur Lal Chand for pacing up the development activities in District Udhampur.

Vice Chairperson DDC elaborated on the role of the 3 Tier PRI System and how these are working in close coordination to provide benefit of government policies and programmes to the last man standing in the last row.

The DDC Chairperson congratulated the public of Majalta for unprecedented developmental activities being carried out in the area. He also extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh for pacing up the development activities in District Udhampur.

He further said removal of Article 370 and 35A have paved way for the development of J&K in a fully fledged manner and J&K UT is moving towards a new era of development.

He further elaborated how implementation of Three Tier Panchayati Raj System is ushering a new round of development in rural areas of J&K UT. He congratulated DDC Majalta Amit Sharma for his unprecedented efforts to carry out developmental activities in Majalta.

He said that the District Development Council Udhampur was committed to work for the betterment of the public of the district. Among others, Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur, Juhi Manhas, DDC Majalta Amit Sharma, Chairperson BDC Majalta Dina Nath, Officers/Officials of PWD Department, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Thalora Babu Ram, Sarpanches/Panches of different Panchayats, the concerned contractor, general public and others were also present.
