51 couples tie knot in mass marriage organised by a local NGO,in Srinagar

Mudasir Maqbool Srinagar : As many as 51 Couples Tie Knot in a Mass Marriage which was Organised by a local NGO Titled “We the helping hands foundation” in Babdamb khanyar area of Summer Capital Srinagar on Thursday.

The couples from various districts and different school of thought of the Valley tied their knots in a simple marriage organised Srinagar based NGO “We the helping hands foundation”Umar Wani while talking, that since 2013, he along with the members of “We the Helping Hand foundation” have arranged money from their own pockets besides donations and have borne the marriage expenses of over 400 orphan and 4poor girls.

This year we have already borne the marriage expenses of poor and orphan girls during two mass marriage functions and today was one among them and achieved another milestone.

He added that the main aim behind organising mass marriage is to promote austerity and simplicity during Nikkah and to help poor, orphan girls to get married who are overage now but unmarried due to social customs like dowry and gold customs.

At the end moments; Mr umer wani thanked all the donors because it was only possible by the support of public who donored the public money which we spend on this noble work.
