JKRLM organizes day-long Workshop on Digital Seva Portal Services

Shopian : A daylong workshop was on Wednesday organized by Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) at District Mission Management Unit Shopian on Digital Seva Portal services. Digi pay Sakhi Module was started by MORD through Self Help Groups under the Umbrella of SRLMs with the aim to strengthen the network of “One BC/Digipay Sakhi in One Gram Panchayat”.
During the introductory session, the State Programme Manager Financial Inclusion, Zubair Ahmed highlighted the essence of engaging SHG members as Banking Correspondents as well as Digi Pay sakhies so that the banking services will be taken to the doorsteps of people who are still excluded and introduce them to the new age banking tools particularly focus on women strata.
This will also help individual SHG members to have credit history of their own for preferred banking clients. He further added that the experience from the current intervention on positioning women SHG members as BC/Digipay sakhi agents across the UT of J&K clearly demonstrates that women BC agents are apt in providing this last mile banking service.
State Manager of CSC SPV, Hilal Hayat as well as District Manager CSC Shopian, Yasir disseminated awareness on different modalities of Women Led Banking Correspondent agents commonly known as Digipay sakhies with respect to the services imbibed under Digital Seva Portal which include the tele-medicine, tele-law services and also provided them a fool proof orientation on how they all can create new avenues of generating income as well as become the community based digital service providers and lessen the hurdles which was being encountered when one has to travel huge distances.
Furthermore during the workshop, all the Digi Pay sakhies were trained on advanced usage of online services such as PassPort form filling, PAN Card registration, Health Card Registration, e-Shram registration, Old Age Pension services in terms of depositing and withdrawals.
On the concluding note, District Programme Manager Financial Inclusion, Irfan Basheer said that in Shopian 16 digi pay sakhies are registered on one Banking Correspondent, one Gram Panchayat Module and they are having active CSC IDs and the transactions are being carried through Aadhar Enabled Programme System (AEPS) Devices.
Furthermore new 15 digi pay sakhies will be soon added to the fleet of already existing digi pay curriculum in district Shopian. The workshop was attended by a CSC team from District Shopian, DPMs, BPMs, Cluster Coordinators, Project Resource Persons (PRPs), Community Data Entry Operators and Digi pay Sakhies.
