DC Shopian tours far-flung areas of district; interacts with people

Shopian: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today visited various areas including Chitragam, Imam Sahab, Pargachi, Lasedavan, Aadakhar and different markets of Shopian Town to take stock of snow clearance operations and other basic amenities including power and water supply.Enroute, the DC interacted with the people at various places, enquired about the basic amenities provided to them, listened to them patiently and assured for early redressal of their genuine demands and grievances of public importance.

During the visit, Vaishya also took stock of Snow clearance operations across all town roads directing the concerned to ensure clearance of roads to allow smooth traffic and pedestrian movement.The DC on the spot directed the Tehsildar Shopian to ensure the lifting of snow from the town roads immediately to make hassle free movement of the people.The DC during the visit was accompanied by Sub- Divisional Magistrate, Zainapora, Tehsildars, Secretary Municipal Committee and other concerned.
