Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur : Ramban Admin organises mega public grievances redressal camp at Maitra

DC, President MC Listen to people’s issues

Ramban : District Administration Ramban today organized a special camp to promote e-Governance, Public Service Guarantee Act and to celebrate National e-Governance Silver Award received for e-Suvidha App from Government of India as a part of “Good Governance Week”.

Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam along with President Municipal Council Ramban, Sunita Sumberia presided over the mega event organized by the Department of Information & PR, Election and Municipal Council Ramban.

Councillor, Khalid Wani, district and sectoral officers and people of adjoining panchayats, teachers and students participated in the event. Besides inspecting the stalls set up by the departments, the DC also handed over a Scooty to a Specially Abled beneficiary provided by the Social Welfare Department.

Highlighting the aim and objectives of Good Governance Week-2022 and targets set by the Government to strengthen the Public Service Delivery System at the grassroots level by providing basic services on digital mode to people at their doorsteps, the DC informed that during Good Governance Week which has been commenced from December 19, 2022, as many as 1200 applications and grievances both online and offline have been disposed of by the different departments in the district.

Appreciating the organizers, the DC asked them to organize such programmes in future to provide platform to young and budding artists, besides promoting the beneficiaries oriented schemes so that people can avail the benefits from people oriented initiatives of the Government.

On the occasion, a colorful cultural programme was also held in which renowned artists including Ronak Thakur, Jeevan Singh, Sourab Sharma, Neha Rakwal and students of various educational institutions presented their cultural items based on the theme e-Governance, and other social and current issues.

Earlier, officers of line departments including District Industries Centre, Social Welfare, Horticulture, Revenue, District Mineral Office, Handicraft, Education, Polytechnic, Motor Vehicle Department, Agriculture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, District Pollution Control Committee sensitized the people about their services, especially available on online mode.

Similarly, under the nationwide ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur’ campaign, Municipal Council Ramban has conducted a sanitation drive in the Court complex and highlighted the importance of public participation for the cleanliness of the community and public toilets.

Animal Husbandry department conducted an awareness camp at Gool and VAS Dheeda at Tungali and sensitized people about various Centrally Sponsored Schemes of the department viz IDDS IPDP, KCC and NLM.

The Social Welfare Department, Ramban organized an awareness camp in Banihal and Sangaldan, whereas Sheep Husbandry Department launched a vaccination drive and grievances redressal camp at Kalimista.

The Revenue department conducted Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Chamalwas and resolved issues of public importance.
