DC Ramban Mussarat Islam inspects Fair Price Shops in the district

Ramban : Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam today inspected various Fair Price Shops of the district Ramban under the “Drive for Oversight of Fair Price Shops” an initiative of the Department of Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Government of India.

The Deputy Commissioner along with Assistant Director FCS&CA Ramban, Shoaib Latief, TSO, concerned and PRI members checked available & requirement of infrastructure, stock and supply status of Food items, quality control measures adopted by the FPS operator, beneficiaries’ experience with dealers, type of service delivery and transparency as well as grievance redressal mechanism implemented on the ground level.

The DC also took firsthand appraisal from beneficiaries and FPS dealers about their requirements and issues besides seeking their suggestions. Expressing their satisfaction, the beneficiaries informed that they are getting their entitled ration as per rate & scale under various departmental schemes including NFSA and PMGKAY.
