DDC Rajouri Vikas Kundal reviews progress of health sector projects

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today chaired a joint meeting of Revenue, PWD, and Health officials to discuss the construction/completion of health facilities in the district.

The meeting was informed that funding has been released for the construction of a boundary wall at PHC Peeri as well as the construction of subcenters Kothran, Gundi, Chambitrar, Sokar, and Daggal Gabra.The ExEn PWD stated that while funds have been received and work has been assigned to a contractor, the department is unable to begin construction due to land constraints.

He further stated that the contractors are now requesting contract termination owing to land concerns.Informing about the delay in providing land for the proposed projects, the CMO reported that land for the construction of a boundary wall at PHC is available but requires land demarcation.

The District Development Commissioner Rajouri advised the ADC Kotranka, BMO Kandi, and PWD officials to conduct joint demarcation and resolve the concerns as soon as possible.It was further informed that the land for the sub-centers Soaker, Chambitrar, and Kothran has been identified.

The DDC instructed the Departments concerned to demarcate the land immediately and start the work on the health facilities at the earliest.
