DDC Rajouri Vikas Kundal reviews implementation of ICDS schemes

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today reviewed the implementation of ICDS Schemes in the district here at a meeting.The implementation of the ECCE curriculum in the AWCs, updating of data on Poshan Tracker and RRS Portal, Aadhar seeding, Procurement of Nutrition, Identification of SAM/MAM children, conduct of VHSNDs and CBEs in AWCs, expenditure under various heads, MPR’s, Preparation of E-Compendium of AWCs as one deliverable and also visibility of AWCs along with other issues were discussed and reviewed threadbare.

Issues hampering the construction of Anganwadi centers in convergence with MGNREGA were also discussed in detail.The DDC directed DPO and ACD to start that work on 110 AWC at the earliest by removing the bottlenecks, if any.

On the occasion, the DDC stressed on effective implementation of the child welfare schemes under ICDS like Adolescent Girls, Poshan Abhiyaan (National Nutrition Mission), and Aadhaar enrolment in ICDS blocks.

He also directed 100 percent Aadhar enrollment in the projects.He also advised the CDPO to ensure that the ration was distributed in a fair and transparent manner. The DDC also emphasized the importance of regular field visits to Anganwadi Centres for effective implementation of the schemes at the grassroots level.

Holding of awareness programs in far-flung areas of the projects was also stressed upon so that the benefits of the schemes reach to maximum population.The DDC also asked the officers to work with dedication as they are shouldering an important responsibility to take care of children, who are the future of the nation.
