DC Kishtwar fine tunes arrangements for hosting 2-day cultural festival

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today reviewed the arrangements for conduct of Cultural Festival under ‘Promotion of Traditional and Cultural Festivals of J&K” campaign here at a meeting held in his office chamber.During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held to fine tune the arrangements for the successful conduct of the 2 day festival scheduled on 11th and 12th March 2022.It is pertinent to mention here that a Composite Cultural Festival which was earlier scheduled to be held on 5th and 6th March 2022 shall now be organised on 11th and 12th March as per the direction of higher authorities.

The meeting chalked out a comprehensive action plan for the smooth conduct of the festival after taking a string of decisions and assigning different tasks to line departments.The meeting also decided that the Festival would be organised on historical Parade ground Chowgan.The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to work in tandem to make timely arrangements at the venue including provision of power and water supply boarding and lodging for participating artists etc.Additional Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Sanjeev Rana, CEO KDA Inderjeet Singh Parihar; Accounts officer DC office Imran Kichloo; Assistant Cultural Officer Rashid Jehangir; Gulab Saifi besides other concerned officials attended the meeting.
