Vice Chairperson DDC presides over Block Diwas proceedings at Dinga Amb

Kathua : To listen and redress the grievances of common masses, District Development Council Vice chairperson Raghunandan Singh convened a Public Outreach Camp here at Dinga Amb under the aegis of weekly Block Diwas programme.During the camp, PRIs projected the issues of public importance and sought immediate redressal of the same.

They demanded meeting shortage of staff in Rural Development Department, release of payments to PMAY beneficiaries, early release of MGNREGA payments, tendering of works under RDD, appointment of dentist and gynecologist at PHC Dinga Amb, up-gradation of High School Dinga Amb, meeting shortage of PHE staff for supply of water, crates for protection of fields from floods, measures to resolve problem of drinking water shortage and augmentation of power distribution network.

After giving a patient hearing, Vice Chairperson DDC directed the line departments to ensure on the spot redressal of the grievances raised by the people.

The Vice Chairperson said the purpose of organizing Block Diwas was to facilitate face to face interaction between the common masses and PRIs with administration so that issues requiring intervention of district administration were disposed of on priority, while issues involving policy matters be taken up at appropriate levels.

The Motor vehicle, Health, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry departments had set up their stalls at the venue.Chief Planning Officer, BDC Chairperson Dinga Amb, DDC members and officers of different departments attended the meeting.Similarly, Block Diwas proceedings were also held at Basohli and Billawar sub divisions.
