DC Kathua Rahul Pandey reviews functioning of Revenue Department

Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting of Revenue officers to discuss revenue matters here in the Conference Hall of the DC office complex today.

The DC took a comprehensive review of the verification status of PM KISAN beneficiaries. The DC called upon the Tehsildars to expedite the process of appointment of Lambardars/Chowkidars and exercise due care in the appointment by ascertaining the character antecedents of the applicants.

The DC also enquired about the status of digitization of cadastral maps and enjoined upon all the tehsildars to speed up the process of digitisation. The DC also took review of eviction/anti-encroachment drives being carried out by the district administration.

He laid emphasis on making entries regarding removal of encroachments on a regular basis about the progress besides making entries in the Roznamcha.

Taking review of the SWAMITVA scheme, the DC exhorted upon the revenue officials to speed up the mapping process of the revenue villages besides expediting the digitization process of revenue records within the set timelines.

The DC also emphasized upon revenue officers to dispose of the pending matters regarding the Revenue Court Cases Monitoring System (RCCMS) on priority besides uploading their updated status on the prescribed portal regularly.

Other issues such as land acquisition cases, change of land use cases were also discussed at length wherein thrust was laid on regular monitoring and reporting besides furnishing of action taken reports at the district headquarters.

The DC disclosed that as proposed by District Administration, BSNL authorities have conducted the survey to cover uncovered pockets of the district including hilly, far off areas and border belt to provide better mobile network connectivity.

He directed Revenue officers to prepare Revenue papers for identified sites at the earliest. ADC Kathua, ACR Kathua, SDM Hiranagar, Tehsildars and other Revenue Officers attended the meeting.
