DC Kathua Rahul Pandey reviews functioning of Health Sector, implementation of govt Schemes
Calls for 100 % saturation of AB-PMJAY, ABHA registration, achieving target of Leprosy, TB free district

Kathua : Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of the health sector and patient care facilities in the district.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer, Dy. CMO, Medical Superintendent, AH, GMC Kathua, District Tuberculosis Officer, BMOs, besides concerned officers and officials of health department.
A threadbare discussion was held on various issues like Health Care achievements, Patient care, ABDM, RBSK, NCD, NVBDCP and other related issues.
The CMO gave a detailed overview through powerpoint presentation and projected various issues regarding present status of AB-PMJAY Cards, institutional deliveries, requirement of ambulances in remote blocks, NTCP, NMBA, PCPNDT Act and other schemes and programmes of the health department.
The DC also took feedback about the implementation of various schemes and programmes under the National Health Mission, including RBSK, Leprosy Mukt and TB Mukt Panchayats across the district.
The DC asked for focusing on daily monitoring of progress made under AB-PMJAY besides registering beneficiaries under ABHA through door to door surveys. He also laid focus on making a workable action plan to target saturation in left out areas by putting in sincere efforts by concerned Block Medical Officers.
Expressing his concern about low institutional delivery in the district, DC asked the concerned BMOs to encourage masses to opt for institutional delivery. He said efforts will be made to rationalize availability of the ambulances across the district to cater emergency cases in a better way.
During the meeting detailed deliberations on issues like availability of online services, Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF), aggressive Sampling of TB cases were also held.
