DDC Doda Vikas Sharma reviews implementation of developmental deliverables

Doda : Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma today asked departments to bring visible change in functioning and services delivery through meticulous planning and innovation.The DC was chairing a marathon meeting here in the mini meeting hall to review the progress and implementation of developmental deliverables aiming to achieve holistic and equitable development in the district.

The meeting discussed in detail the achievements under various deliverables till date.At the outset, the deliverables under the Agriculture department were discussed. Regarding universal distribution of soil health cards, it was given out that the department has been given a target of testing 8844 soil samples for the current financial year and it has collected 5568 samples while balance samples are to be collected during Rabi season.

Regarding Horticulture deliverables, it was given out that 40% of the targets have been achieved till date. About the Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry department deliverables, the officer said that 30% of the targets have been achieved.

Floriculture department functionaries said that as per the given targets required number of Chinar Saplings have been transported from Srinagar for plantation and the drive for the same has been started and shall be completed in next few days.

The Civil defence, SDRF and Fire and Emergency services have started training and capacity building programmes in the district and 5077 volunteers of Civil Defence have been trained in the district till date, the meeting was told.

Irrigation and FC department officials informed that the de-silting of all the Canals have been completed and the Evacuation plan would be furnished in the next few days.Besides, the DDC also reviewed developmental deliverables pertaining to Health, Housing and Urban development department, Transport, Industries department, Ayush Department, Forest department, JPDCL, PWD, Jal Shakti department, Labour and Employment department, Education Department, Social Welfare department, Legal Metrology department, RDD, Youth Services and Sports department, information department, IT department and Revenue department.

The District heads/ responsible officers reported on the progress made under the developmental deliverables.The DDC Stressed upon prioritizing, planning and executing the given deliverables to bring visible changes in their functioning and service delivery.

He directed the departments to redouble efforts to achieve cent percent saturation of all parameters prescribed under the deliverables programme. The DDC directed the officers to work on deliverables in their respective jurisdiction as per the timelines given and work in a convergence mode to yield best results at ground level.
