DDC Doda reviews progress on Amrit Sarovars, SBM & disposal of FRA cases in the district
Amrit Sarovars be created before set deadline; RDD to submit all the cases cleared by gram sabhas under FRA to the SDLC immediately

Doda : District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma convened a meeting of all key Functionaries of Rural Development Department , Forest and other line departments to review their progress under Amrit Sarovars and took appraisal of the disposal of FRA cases in Gram Sabhas through FRCs here in the DC office complex.
It was informed to the chair by the ACD that till date 92 water bodies have been identified and reflected on the designated portal out of which 36 are targeted for completion before 15th of August. Besides, he informed the chair that out of these, on 06 identified Amrit Sarovars the work has been stopped by the Forest authorities.
DDC directed all the BDOs to ensure the completion of all 15 non forest Amrit Sarovars by or before the set deadline, besides asked to simultaneously begin the execution on rest of the 16 prioritized Amrit Sarovars on priority.
With regard to the Amrit Sarovars being executed in forest areas the DDC directed the RDD to start the process of their uploading on Parivesh portal. Besides, CEO BDA was also asked to work on the Amrit sarovars identified by BDA timely.
With regard to the FRA cases the DDC directed the Nodal department to submit the comprehensive report of disposal of FRA cases category wise till date so that the progress shall be assesed in detail. He further directed the BDOs to forward all the cases to the SDLC for next course of action with immediate effect.
Meanwhile the DDC also reviewed the progress of RDD under SBM sector and enquired about the status of construction of IHHL units in all left out houses till now, construction of soaking pits and solid and liquid waste management plants including compost pits .
Besides, he sought details regarding creation of CSC units across the district in rural areas.The DDC directed all the BDOs to expedite their progress under SBM and to identify the lands for the construction of CSC units on a mission mode.
AC Panchayat was directed to start the tendering of all 148 CSC units in next ten days positively. In addition, BDOs were also directed to take up the work of compost units and soakage pits on community/ individual basis especially in semi urbananissd rural areas for the immediate success of the program.
The DDC impressed upon each functionary to work in coordination and enthusiasm so that the targets assigned to them under each key component are achieved up to the satisfaction of the UT administration.
The meeting was attended by CEO BDA, ACR Doda, CPO Doda, ACD Doda, AC Panchayat, DFO Bhaderwah, GM NHIDCL, BDOs and Range officers of forest department.
